I adore The Hold Steady, but I have to admit that they can kind of lost me after 2008’s Stay Positive.  I’m digging the new tunes though.  Wonder when they’ll release an album?

Swearin’ – Grow Into A Ghost

I thought that Swearin’ were no longer a thing, so it was a real pleasant surprise when a new tune slid into my inbox.  Too bad I have to wait until October 5 to hear their new LP, Fall Into The Sun.

We Were Promised Jetpacks – Hanging In

There’s a very grown up We Were Promised Jetpacks on display here, and I’m into it.  I’m anxious to check out their new album, The More I Sleep The Less I Dream (due September 14).

Death Cab For Cutie – I Dreamt We Spoke Again

El Ten Eleven – We Don’t Have A Sail But We Have A Rudder

I’ve been listening to El Ten Eleven’s new album, Banker’s Hill, for a few weeks now, and I really love it.  Total post rock perfection!  Make sure you snatch it up when it gets released on August 10.

Four Fists – Nobody’s Biz / G.D.F.R.

P.O.S and Astronautalis are Four Fists, and they need to make a damn album already.  For now though, I can at least settle for these fresh bangers.
