Quickdraw: Carly Rae Jepsen, Rubblebucket, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alvvays, Dungen, Advertisement

Enjoy.

Carly Rae Jepsen – Beach House

Here’s a new track from Carly Rae Jepsen – it’s much more danceable and silly than her previous single. Here’s hoping this means that her upcoming album is going to be a weird one. The Loneliest Time is due out October 21.

Rubblebucket – Earth Worship

The upcoming Rubblebucket album is called Earth Worship and it’s due out October 21. The title track here is such a fresh-feeling, well-layered pop tune.

Yeah Yeahs Yeahs – Burning

I guess I didn’t realize it when I shared their last track, but the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are now on Secretly Canadian. That’s neat. Anyhow, Karen O sounds so damn good on this new tune. The band will release Cool It Down on September 30.

Alvvays – Easy On Your Own?

As if I wasn’t already excited for the new Alvvays album, here they are with another stellar single for it. Blue Rev is due out October 7. For those in Austin, the band is set to play Stubb’s on November 2.

Dungen – Om Det Finns Något Som Du Vill Fråga Mig

In “they’re back” news, Dungen have readied their first album in seven years – En Är För Mycket och Tusen Aldrig Nog will be out October 7. Hit play if you like psych rock at all.

“Excuse me while the wheels fall off.”

What a relatable opening line. By the way, this well crafted rock track is Advertisement’s contribution to Hardly Art’s 15th Anniversary Singles Series.
