Show Of The Week

I like it when locals aim big, and Jackie Venson has certainly done that with the show she’s having at the Paramount this Friday to celebrate the release of her new album, Joy.  Since that’s just about to sell out though (seriously, if you want to go, buy a ticket now), I want to shift your gaze to another great local show that same night – Otis The Destroyer at Stubb’s Indoors.  They’re one of Austin’s best rock acts, and they’ve also got a new release of their own – it’s an EP called Cool Evil.  Go to the show and snatch up a copy on vinyl!
