My fav Alex Lahey has a new album, The Answer Is Always Yes, coming out on May 19, and she’s hitting the road as well, with a stop in Austin at the Parish set for June 16. Expect to want to get up and move to this effortlessly fun single.

Cable Ties – Perfect Client

Here’s a new, one-off scorcher from Cable Ties. Hopefully it means they’re getting close to announcing a follow-up to 2020’s Fair Enough.

Death Valley Girls – Magic Powers

I’m getting more and more excited for the upcoming Death Valley Girls album, Islands In The Sky (due out February 24). The gospel-ish sound on their previous single really hit the spot for me, and now I’m all swept up in this dance-worthy track.

Frankie Rose – Sixteen Ways

Like the first single off Frankie Rose’s new album, Love As Projection (due out March 10), this track is lush and awesome. By the way, I just saw that she’ll be in Austin for SXSW.

The Rural Alberta Advantage – Plague Dogs

It’s a bummer that there’s no Austin date on the upcoming Rural Alberta Advantage tour, but hey, at least I still got this bombastic track out of it.
