Quickdraw: Shame, Quasi, The New Pornographers, Frankie Rose, Death Valley Girls, Fucked Up

Enjoy.

Shame – Six-Pack

I’m starting the year exactly where I ended it – pumped for Shame’s new album, Food For Worms (due out February 24). By the way, they’re touring the US this summer and will play Austin’s Scoot Inn on June 2.

Quasi – Nowheresville

Things are about to get real busy for Quasi. The band’s new album, Breaking The Balls Of History, is out February 10, and on that same day they’ll kick off a tour (if you’re in Austin, they’re playing the Parish on February 17). Check out another great single here.

The New Pornographers – Really Really Light

The New Pornographers have signed to Merge, and they’ll put out a new album, Continue As A Guest, on March 31. In case you were wondering, they still sound immaculate.

Frankie Rose – Anything

Frankie Rose has returned with her first new album in six years – Love As Projection will be out on March 10. I’m really digging the synth pop sound on this very catchy single.

Death Valley Girls – Sunday

The gospel vibes on this track are so good. Death Valley Girls will release an album titled Islands In The Sky on February 24. Also, it looks though they’ll be in Austin for SXSW.

Fucked Up – I Think I Might Be Weird

In need of an anthem for your 2023? Then look no further than this rad number from Fucked Up. The band will release a new album, One Day, on January 27.
