Quickdraw: Bob Mould, Muzz, Orville Peck, Erasure

Enjoy.

Bob Mould – American Crisis

Bob Mould is really pissed off here! I like it. His new album is his 14th solo effort and it’s titled Blue Hearts. Look for it on September 25.

Muzz – Knuckleduster

Don’t forget that Muzz’s self titled debut is out tomorrow! I’ve really enjoyed all of the singles and think that the LP is going to be a big winner.

Orville Peck – No Glory In The West

Show Pony is the name of the new Orville Peck EP that’s set to be released on June 12. I love the minimal approach on this track – it really lets his voice shine.

Erasure – Hey Now (Think I Got A Feeling)

Erasure just announced their 18th album – it’s called The Neon and will be out on August 21. I think it’s wildly impressive that these guys are still chugging along and releasing quality tunes.

Can someone explain Orville Peck to me? Dirge like, hook- less songs that sound like an updated Tom Waits. I don’t get the appeal beyond the gimmick of the face cover.
