HOMEGROWN HIGHLIGHTS:

Hi How Are You Day 2020 is this Wednesday at ACL Live!  White Denim, Spoon and lots of other artists are involved with this celebration of the late Daniel Johnston.  Get your tickets here.

The latest song from PR Newman is real catchy.  Their next album, Private Lives, will be out later this year.

101X HOMEGROWN LIVE PRESENTS:

Head to Barracuda this Friday, January 24 for Xetas’ album release party!  The new album is titled The Cypher, and it’s really good.  Also on the bill: American Sharks, Dregs, Nevil, Lord Friday The 13th and Cold Lunch.

It’s not actually a Homegrown Live, but I helped organize it, so I’m putting it here!  Drop by Barracuda on Thursday, January 30 for A Down Under Benefit.  Mobley, Los Coast, Jackie Venson, Walker Lukens, Darkbird, Abram Shook, Teddy Glass, Fanclub, The Blowies and Christine Renner are going to play.  That’s 10 bands for $10!  Proceeds will go to the Australian Red Cross Bushfire Relief.

Night Cap and Nane will be playing The Parish on Saturday, February 8!  Come celebrate new singles from both bands.  Animals On TV will open the evening.
