Happy Metal Fun Time (Chuck)

As the Fall darkness creeps in, the darkest month takes shape. There is no celebration of family, your God, or other bright holidays to shine up the darkness, only Halloween to remind us about the depths of our fears, dawning costumes to pretend our stupid lives could be more fun if we were not who we are, and horror and blood cover our TV screen further desensitizing us to the real life tragedy that surrounds us.

Nothing like a great Death Metal sound track to compliment the darkest month on the calendar, this year the quest for great metal left me wanting for something better, that is until the past few weeks. We have seen an uptick in quality metal – not generic, some traditional, some extreme, and others creating new paths. This month a look at the Death Metal and Extreme Metal that has graced my ears the past few weeks! Enjoy! And Happy Halloween!
