Quickdraw: Mitski, Maps & Atlases, The Ophelias, Ages And Ages, Ty Segall & White Fence

Enjoy.

Mitski – Geyser

Mitski is set to roll out a new album, Be The Cowboy, on August 17.  The first single is fantastic but way too short.  I need more!

Maps & Atlases – Ringing Bell

I’m loving the return of Maps & Atlases.  Both singles off the new album, Lightlessness Is Nothing New (due June 1), have been total ear-pleasers.  Definitely going to have to see the band at the Scoot Inn on June 13.

The Ophelias – Fog

Yoni Wolf (of Why?) produced the upcoming album, Almost (due July 13), from The Ophelias, and that makes me want to hear it.  Well, that and the fact that the first single is a nice slice of indie rock.

Ages And Ages – Needle And Thread

The press release for the latest single from Ages And Ages describes it as bouncy, and that’s just as accurate as can be.  The band is in the midst of releasing singles in place of a traditional album, so hopefully that means another gem will be along shortly.

Ty Segall & White Fence – Joy

Ty Segall & White Fence have finally put together a follow-up to 2012’s Hair!  It’ll be out on July 20, which is right in the middle of the summer.  Can’t wait to hang on the porch with it on blast.
