Quickdraw: Spice, Porridge Radio, Enumclaw, Fontaines D.C., Cola

Enjoy.

Spice – Any Day Now

Waking up to news of a new Spice album was a real treat – Viv will be out May 20. This first track from it makes me want to sit around and listen to early 2000s indie rock/post punk all day.

Porridge Radio – Back To The Radio

I just love the way this track swells. Porridge Radio will put out their new album, Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder To The Sky, on May 20.

Enumclaw – 2002

Enumclaw just dropped this swirling track, and it immediately got me pumped about their impending debut album (due out sometime this year). By the way, the band will be at SXSW.

Fontaines D.C. – I Love You

There’s some extensive moodiness (and a real 90s sound) on these new Fontaines D.C. tracks, and it’s really working for them. The band’s new album, Skinty Fia, is set to be released on April 22.

Cola – So Excited

Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy (both formerly of Ought) have a new thing called Cola, and their debut album, Deep In View, is coming out on May 20. So far, this band sounds far less grandiose than their previous one, but that’s certainly not a bad thing.
