Little Scream – One Lost Time

Little Scream’s new album is titled Speed Queen, and it will be out on October 25.  Can’t say I connected with the previous singles, but this one has an early 2000s indie sound that really works for me.

Pendant – Rubber Band

Here’s the second stellar single off of Pendant’s upcoming album, Through A Coil (due out in November).  Feeling like the LP may make a late push for a spot on my year-end list.

Matt Berninger – Walking On A String (Featuring Phoebe Bridgers)

This is one pretty number from Matt Berninger and Phoebe Bridgers.  Side note, this song was made for the very solid Between Two Ferns: The Movie.  Second side note, I won’t be surprised if The National announce a hiatus soon and then Matt does a solo album (or two).

Julien Baker – Tokyo / Sucker Punch

The latest from Julien Baker has arrived via the Sub Pop Singles Club.  Tokyo is my favorite of the two tracks (love that drum usage), but Sucker Punch is very good, too.

Ghetto Sage – Haagen Dazs

Ghetto Sage is a new thing from Noname, Saba and Smino.  I like the production here, and their voices just go well together.  Definitely interested in hearing more from them.
