Stephen Malkmus

Since SXSW (and all of the craziness that comes with it) begins on Friday, I’m shelving the Show Of The Week column until the fest passes.  Plus, let’s face it, it’s not as though I was going to recommend anything but the entirely free, all-local, 30-band show that is Austin Town Hall vs Side One Track One at Hotel Vegas and Volstead this Sunday.

Now, let’s indulge in the latest track off of Stephen Malkmus’ upcoming solo album, Groove Denied, which will be out on March 15.  It’s my favorite of the three singles he’s released so far – I just like the way it slinks.  Enjoy.

By the way, Malkmus will play 3TEN at ACL Live on May 7.
