Show Of The Week

There are a lot of good shows happening this week (see below for extra recs), but I’m most excited for the Slack Capital release party that’s happening at Barracuda on Friday.  The 20-track effort just came out via Austin Town Hall Records, and it’s one of the better all-Austin comps to come along in a good while.  $8 will get you into the show, which features David Liebe Hart, Big Bill, Annabelle Chairlegs, Basketball Shorts, Que Pasa, Sailor Poon, Pollen RX, Pataphysics, Tough Age and Critical Dad, and you’ll receive a copy of Slack Capital on CD.  Oh, and just so you know, all proceeds are set to go to Anthropos Arts, a local non-profit organization which provides music lessons and musical instruments to at-risk youth.  That’s can’t-miss stuff, friends.
