That Time Of The Month (Mikela)

Thanksgiving is upon us, and before you know it, you’ll be overdosing on turkey and pretending you like your grandmother’s oyster stuffing. But with the right music, a family meal doesn’t have to be unbearable. Please your parents, your uncles, and everyone in between with this sure thing of a turkey day playlist.

I’ve got a good mix of old (Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra), really old (Benny Goodman), and new (Mayer Hawthorne, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings) that will turn that mundane meal into something to talk about. So push play as soon as you’re serving up, and by the time you cut the pumpkin pie, you’ll be busting a move with Uncle Milton. I bet he’s got a mean Mashed Potato up his sleeve.
