Quickdraw: Faye Webster, Boeckner, Dry Cleaning, Topographies, Suki Waterhouse

Enjoy.

Faye Webster – Lego Ring (Featuring Lil Yachty)

Lifetime and But Not Kiss, the pair of singles that Faye Webster put out last year, officially have a home – the newly announced Underdressed At The Symphony will be released on March 1. I’m digging the continued expansion of her sound.

Boeckner – Lose

If you asked me to guess whether or not Daniel Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Operators, Divine Fits, Handsome Furs) already had a solo album, I would certainly say yes. Well, he doesn’t, but one is on the way – the energetically titled Boeckner! is coming out on March 15. This first single is a synthy, driving number that’s easy on the ears.

Dry Cleaning – Sit Down Meal

Dry Cleaning are reissuing their first couple of EPs, Boundary Road Snacks And Drinks & Sweet Princess, and they’re doing so in the form of one album that’s due out March 8. I’m a big fan of this band but have actually never spent any time with either of those releases, so I’m excited to to dive into the updated versions.

Topographies – Chain Of Days

I’ve had this moody-but-dancey slice of post-punk from Topographies on repeat over the last couple of days. The band will release an album titled Interior Spring on February 2.

Suki Waterhouse – OMG

This is a slick, fun track from Suki Waterhouse. I haven’t previously connected with her music – maybe I should jump back and try again. On another note, I thought Suki was great in the miniseries Daisy Jones & The Six.
