Quickdraw: Jeff Rosenstock, Palehound, Truth Club, Blonde Redhead, Slow Pulp, Joanna Sternberg

Enjoy.

Jeff Rosenstock – Doubt

Jeff Rosenstock – one of my favorite rockers – dropped a new track about a month ago, and now he’s rolled out the details for the album that it’s from – the awesomely titled HELLMODE will be out on September 1. As for this single, it really builds into a great wall of sound (plus the video is cool). Side note for the Austin-based folks, he’s playing Empire on December 1.

Palehound – Independence Day

The new Palehound album, Eye On The Bat, is set to be released on July 14. I’m really into the latest single here – it’s an upbeat number with some nice guitar-work.

Truth Club – Blue Eternal

To celebrate joining the Double Double Whammy roster, Truth Club put out this wonderfully textured single. More to come soon, I’d guess.

Blonde Redhead – Melody Experiment

Blonde Redhead have readied their first album in eight years – it’s titled Sit Down For Dinner and it’s due September 29. This track is just so, so easy on the ears, and I really dig the way it glides.

Slow Pulp – Slugs

Slow Pulp’s new album, Yard, has been announced and will be out on September 29. The quick-paced number they put out earlier in the year has been a regular listen for me, and I like this more low key track a lot as well.

Joanna Sternberg – Stockholm Syndrome

Joanna Sternberg will drop a new album, Stockholm Syndrome, this Friday. I missed out on the previous singles and still need to check those out, but at least for now, join me in loving this stripped down gem.
