Quickdraw: Protomartyr, Indigo De Souza, Ratboys, The Reds, Pinks & Purples, Bartees Strange

Enjoy.

Protomartyr – Make Way

I figured Protomartyr weren’t playing SXSW just for the heck of it, and I was right! The band has announced a new album, Formal Growth In The Desert, and it’s due out June 2. This first single is dusty and massive and awesome.

Indigo De Souza – Smog

Here’s the second stellar single off Indigo De Souza’s upcoming album, All Of This Will End (due out April 28). By the way, she’s playing SXSW – let’s all see her a lot.

Ratboys – Black Earth, WI

This new one from Ratboys is the kind of drawn out, classic rocker that you lean way back for and take in with your eyes closed. Just so you know, they’re playing SXSW.

The Reds, Pinks & Purples – The Town That Cursed Your Name

What a compelling and moving pop song this is. The new album from The Reds, Pinks & Purples is called The Town That Cursed Your Name and it’ll be out on March 24.

Bartees Strange – Daily News

Bartees Strange is just about to hit the road (FYI, his run includes plenty of plays at SXSW), so he’s dropped this previously unreleased track. It really builds to something grand.
