Quickdraw: Shame, Bria, Alex Lahey, Dream Wife, Black Belt Eagle Scout

Enjoy.

Shame – Fingers Of Steel

A new Shame album is on the way – Food For Worms will be out on February 24 – and the band is all set to hit the road in 2023, too. I feel as though they’ve had to cancel their last couple of Austin gigs, so here’s hoping they actually make it to the Scoot Inn on June 2. By the way, the first single here is more rock than post-punk, but it feels like a good transition for them.

Bria – Where Have All The Cowboys Gone? (Paula Cole Cover)

Here’s Bria’s contribution to Cuntry Covers Vol. 2, which will be out on February 24. As my wife said when I played it for her, it’s a “perfect cover.”

Alex Lahey – Shit Talkin’

Alex Lahey recently dropped a track called Congratulations, and now she’s quickly followed it up with this upbeat and catchy number. Keep ’em coming, Alex!

Dream Wife – Leech

This is such a fantastically fierce new single from Dream Wife. Dance to it, thrash with it. Side note, I believe the band has a new album coming in 2023.

Black Belt Eagle Scout – My Blood Runs Through This Land

The Land, The Water, The Sky is the title of Black Belt Eagle Scout’s new album, and it’ll be out on February 10. I recommend headphones for this swirling, shoegaze-leaning track.
