Quickdraw: Dry Cleaning, Wild Pink, Plains, Built To Spill, Preoccupations

Enjoy.

Dry Cleaning – Anna Calls From The Arctic

Dry Cleaning have a new album, Stumpwork, that’s set to be released on October 21. Like the first single (and all their music, really), this track is strange and alluring and just all-around great.

Wild Pink – ILYSM

Here’s an absolutely wonderful track from Wild Pink. Their upcoming LP is titled ILYSM, and it’ll be out on October 14. By the way, if you’re in Austin, you can see the band at the Mohawk on December 14.

Plains – Problem With It

Plains consists of Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Jess Williamson, and you can check out their lovely debut single right here. Their album, I Walked With You A Ways, will be released on October 14. Austin-based folks, be sure to catch the duo at the Scoot Inn on November 1.

Built To Spill – Spiderweb

Built To Spill’s new album, When The Wind Forgets Your Name, is due out September 9. This very vintage slice of indie rock is my favorite single off it (so far).

Preoccupations – Death Of Melody

Where the first single off the upcoming Preoccupations album was surprisingly accessible, this one is decidedly sludgy – I’m still into it though. The band will release Arrangements on September 9.
