The Beths – A Real Thing

My indie pop favs The Beths are back with a tune! They’re also playing in Austin at Empire Control & Garage next Tuesday, February 15. Lunar Vacation are opening. It’s going to be a great night, so don’t miss out.

Empath – Elvis Comeback Special

Don’t forget that Empath’s anticipated new album, Visitor, is out this Friday, February 11. I’ve really enjoyed the singles (especially the new one that’s here) and think the LP is going to be a winner.

Rosalia – Saoko

Rosalia’s El Mar Querer remains a big favorite of mine, so I really can’t wait to dive into her follow up, Motomami (due out March 18). This new single is pretty damn rad.

Sharon Van Etten – Porta

Good news, Sharon Van Etten still sounds as grand as ever on her first new solo track since 2020. If you’re in Austin, you can see her at the Moody Amphitheater on July 25 with Angel Olsen, Julien Baker, and Spencer.

The Rural Alberta Advantage – CANDU / AB Bride

Frankly, I thought The Rural Alberta Advantage had called it quits years ago, but here they are with a couple of new tracks (+ more to come this year). Both of these are real ear-pleasers.
