Quickdraw: Nilufer Yanya, PUP, Marissa Paternoster, Pip Blom

Enjoy.

Nilufer Yanya – Stablise

This frenetically-paced new one from Nilufer Yanya is so damn good. I really can’t wait for her sophomore album, Painless, which is due out on March 4.

PUP – Kill Something

Kill Something is about Stefan’s dog Moose, who loves to destroy his favorite things, and then is sad that those things are destroyed.”

While I liked the song when I first heard it, I have to admit that this description has since elevated it a bit for me. By the way, if you’re in Austin, PUP is set to play Stubb’s on April 29.

Marissa Paternoster – I Lost You

In just under a month – December 3, to be exact – Marissa Paternoster (of Screaming Females) will release her new solo album, Peace Meter. Get ready to sad dance all night to this track.

Pip Blom – I Know I’m Not Easy To Like

There’s some quality attitude being flung around on this single from Pip Blom, and I like it a lot. The band’s new album, Welcome Break, is out this Friday, November 12.
