Mannequin Pussy – The Execution Of All Things (Rilo Kiley Cover)
I really like this take on Rilo Kiley’s The Execution Of All Things – Mannequin Pussy give it more fuzz and attitude, but it’s still just as charming as the original song. No Bad Words For The Coast Today: The Execution Of All Things Covers Comp is set to be released on November 6. Here’s the full track list:
1. The Good That Won’t Come Out – Gladie
2. Paint’s Peeling – Sad13
3. The Execution of All Things – Mannequin Pussy
4. So Long – Eric Slick
5. Capturing Moods – Diet Cig
6. A Better Son/Daughter – Verdigrls
7. Hail to Whatever You Found in the Sunlight That Surrounds You – Sailor Boyfriend
8. My Slumbering Heart – Dump Him
9. Three Hopeful Thoughts – Gay Meat
10. With Arms Outstretched – Adult Mom
11. Spectacular Views – Lisa Prank

Cloud Nothings – Am I Something
The new album from Cloud Nothings is titled The Shadow I Remember, and it’s due out on February 26. I’m all about the sense of urgency that very much drives this first single.
Downtown Boys – L’Internationale
And now, the best cover of an old communist anthem that you’ll come across in 2020. Thanks, Downtown Boys! Side note, this is for a new film called Miss Marx. Also, the band would like for you to go vote. Do that.
Bleached – Stupid Boys
If I didn’t know any better, I’d think that this track was by Haim or someone similar, as it definitely doesn’t sound like the Bleached that once made tracks like Searching Through The Past and Keep On Keepin’ On. Still, it’s obnoxiously catchy, and I like it. For now, this appears to be a one-off single.
Small Black – Tampa
It’s been quite a while since I’ve heard anything from Small Black, so it’s good to see that they’re still together. This dreamy number is off a three-song 7″ that the band is putting out on November 13.
Claud – Gold
Claud (formerly known as Toast) is the first artist to sign to Phoebe Bridgers’ new imprint, Saddest Factory. I love the hook in this indie pop tune of hers, and the video is fun as well.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Hesitating Nation / Thousand Oaks
These new tunes from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah absolutely soar, and I really dig them. The act will release their next album, New Fragility, on January 29.
