Enjoy.
Bright Eyes – Mariana Trench
Bright Eyes have finally announced their long-awaited 10th full length – it’s called Down In The Weeds Where The World Once Was and it’ll be out on August 21. I’ve liked the other singles, but this new release is the first one I’ve loved. It just sounds more fully realized.
Nana Adjoa – Throw Stones
Here’s a gem from Nana Adjoa, an Amsterdam-based artist that I’ve just started to get acquainted with. She’s got a wonderful voice, and this song is loaded with interesting tidbits.
Jonsi – Swill
Shiver is the name of Jonsi’s new album (his first solo LP in a decade) and it’s set to be released on October 2. This first single is big and wonderful, and I can’t wait to hear more.
Doves – Carousels
Doves are back with their first bit of new music in over a decade. Initially, I wasn’t sure what I thought of this (not particularly catchy) single, but it’s really grown on me. I wonder if an album announcement is coming soon.
Sprain – Worship House
This new one from Sprain is a total throwback to 90s post-rock, and I love it. The band will release As Lost Through Collision on September 4.
Advertisement – Freedom
Advertisement is a terrible name for a band, but that’s not keeping me from being into this nice slice of cosmic rock. American Advertisement is the title of their new album, and it’ll be released on July 10.
