Quickdraw: Fontaines DC, Gum Country, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Same, Jehnny Beth

Enjoy.

Fontaines DC – A Hero’s Death

I wouldn’t have guessed that Fontaines DC would already be set to roll out a follow up to last year’s Dogrel, but here we are. The new album is titled A Hero’s Death and it’ll be released on July 31. This first track/video is pretty heady.

Gum Country – Tennis (I Feel OK)

Somewhere is the debut album from Gum Country (Courtney Garvin of The Courtneys + multi-instrumentalist Connor Mayer), and it’ll be out on June 19. I’m very much in love with their lo-fi pop sound.

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever – Falling Thunder

Another day, another very catchy, charming number from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. I’m expecting to have their new album, Sideways To New Italy (out June 5), on repeat this summer.

Same – Osho Tapes

There’s a slackery, nostalgic vibe to this Same track that makes for a real nice fit for these quaran-days. The band will release Plastic Western this Friday.

Jehnny Beth – Heroine

Jehnny Beth (of Savages) has pretty much delighted me with every one of her singles.  I can’t wait to check out To Live Is To Love (due June 12).
