I don’t think I realized that Sophie Allison (aka Soccer Mommy) was only 22.  That’s wild.  Anyhow, her new single has a worn feel to it that I really like.  Color Theory is due out on February 28.  Also, she’ll be in town for SXSW, and then back around on May 5 at Emo’s.

Cable Ties – Sandcastles

Here is Australia’s own Cable Ties with a catchy but terse number.  Their upcoming album, Far Enough (due March 27), has quickly become something I’m excited for.  In the meantime, I’m going to jump back and check out their self titled debut, which I missed in 2017.  Hopefully I can catch them at SXSW.
