Ex Hex – Tough Enough

The press release for this new tune (here’s the previous single) notes that Ex Hex says it’s “all about three-dimensional power chords inter-playing with whammy dive bombs.  It’s a song about turning on your tough switch and forging ahead through whatever storms are happening around you ’cause you have no choice.”  So yeah, turn it up real loud.  It’s Real is due out March 22.

Melts – Echoes

Melts are out of Dublin, and later this year they’re going to be releasing their debut EP.  I like their fuzzy, psych rock sound.

The Coathangers – F The NRA

The latest from the The Coathangers is just about as fiery as can be.  If you combine it with the almost-bubbly first single, it becomes clear that The Devil You Know (due out March 8) is going to be a diverse album.
