Jonny Fritz

For a while now I’ve been eagerly waiting for Jonny Fritz (formerly known as Jonny Corndawg) to find his way into the spotlight, and I think he’s finally on the verge of doing just that.  He recently signed to the always steady ATO Records, and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes helped produce his third full length, Dad Country.  The LP is due out on April 16.  Enjoy.

:Jonny Fritz – Ain’t It Your Birthday:  While I love the classic country sound that Fritz so enthusiastically represents, it’s his lyrics that put him over the top for me.  They’re honest, clever, and surprisingly funny.  For example, every line in this track.
