Quickdraw: Sorry, Royel Otis, Jobber, The Beths, Fanclubwallet
Enjoy.
Sorry – Jive
Sorry are a top five band for me right now – everything they put out, including this slow-building gem, just bowls me right over. Now, if only they’d get on with announcing a new album. And a US tour.
Royel Otis – Car
If I’ve come to know anything, it’s that Royel Otis sure know how to pen a compelling and catchy tune. The band’s sophomore effort, Hickey, will be out August 22. Also, if you’re in Austin, they’ve got two nights at Stubb’s coming up in September.
Jobber – Nightmare
Jobber have announced their debut album – it’s titled Jobber To The Stars and it’ll be out on August 22. You should expect to immediately fall in love with this 90s-leaning power pop winner.
The Beths – No Joy
Here’s an infectious one from The Beths, who officially (and finally) have a new album on the way – Straight Line Was A Lie is due out August 29. By the way, for those in Austin, they’re playing Emo’s on November 4.
Fanclubwallet – Cotton Mouth
This new standalone single from Fanclubwallet is a fantastic slice of indie pop – I especially love it when the drums glide in.
