Quickdraw: Francis Of Delirium, Hooveriii, Dry Cleaning, Middle Kids, Gender Roles, Claud
Enjoy.
Francis Of Delirium – Let It All Go
Francis Of Delirium is fronted by a 19-year old, Jana Bahrich, which is kind of wild. Or maybe it isn’t considering how manic this track is. Either way, I like the band a lot, and I’m looking forward to their EP, Wading (due out April 2).
Hooveriii – Control
Hooveriii was once Bert Hoover’s solo drum machine project, and now it’s a full band with six members. If you’re into spacey psych rock, then you should put their new album, Water For The Frogs (due out April 9), on your radar.
Dry Cleaning – Strong Feelings
Here’s Dry Cleaning with one of those very wordy, sing-talk tracks that couldn’t be easier to get lost in. The band will release New Long Leg on April 2.
Middle Kids – Cellophane (Brain)
I don’t know if I can say this new Middle Kids tune is quite as good as the previous one, Questions (hear it here), but I’m still really digging just how big the band sounds right now. I can’t wait to check out their album, Today We’re The Greatest (due out March 19).
Gender Roles – Dead Or Alive / So Useless
Gender Roles just put out a pair of super fun, very catchy rockers, and I totally recommend that you listen to them with the volume cranked as high as possible. By the way, if you want a physical 7″ with these tracks, there’s one being released on March 26.
Claud – Guard Down
Just a reminder, Claud’s debut album, Super Monster, is set to be released this Friday! I believe you’re going to dig it. Now, dive into this new slice of pop (and, while you’re at it, jump back to the other singles).
