Show Of The Week
There is so much going on in Austin this week. Vampire Weekend has already played one show and has two more to go, Mannequin Pussy has a sold out gig inside at the Mohawk, Black Pumas are doing three nights outside at the Mohawk, White Denim is doing a slew of shows at Radio Milk (their studio space), and there’s plenty of other quality acts (Mogwai, Mutual Benefit, The Bird And The Bee, Boris, etc.) in town as well. It’s honestly pretty wild (and why I love living here).
Since that’s all the big stuff you’re surely in the know on, let’s focus on a show that I don’t want to get lost in the shuffle – Seratones at Stubb’s Indoors on Friday. The Shreveport-based band is putting out their new album, Power, on that same day, which makes their stop in Austin an album release party of sorts. Go give them your support. They’ll give you a nice dose of rock in return.
