Today's Quick Mention:  Tonight is a bit slim on the show front, but that's not such a big deal since Black Books, Residual Kid, La Snacks, and Boy + Kite are all playing the Mohawk.  Dan did a rather nice preview of it yesterday.  You can read it here.

One of my favorite artists this year has been Oh Land.  Although, there is some strangeness attached to my love for her.  I think her self titled debut is solid, but what I really like are her cover choices.  She's done Fleet Foxes White Winter Hymnal in an overly fantastic way, and now comes this equally good version of the National's Bloodbuzz Ohio.  Check it out below.  Enjoy.

:Oh Land - Bloodbuzz Ohio (The National Cover):  Hearing any National track without Matt Berninger's booming voice is weird enough, so I greatly appreciate that Oh Land doesn't attempt to shift Bloodbuzz Ohio into some sort of crazy dance number.  In fact, I recommend that you listen to the original and this cover back to back, as they make for an interesting set.
