Today's Quick Mention:  If you do anything tonight you should head over to the Swan Dive for the Long Tangles' CD release party. Elaine Greer, Hello Caller, and Girl Dreams are also playing. Doors are at 9pm. Tickets are only $6. First 50 in get a copy of the SOTO-approved Finer Things!

Tennis keep trying to move on from being a band I like to one that I love, but for whatever reason my brain has yet to be convinced to think about them in that way. Perhaps this will change when their new full length arrives. The Black Keys' Patrick Carney produced Young And Old, and it's set be released on February 14 via Fat Possum. An Origins 7" is also due out soon. Enjoy.

:Tennis - Origins:  This is a great track.  I was hoping that Tennis would follow up Cape Dory with a different sound, and this is certainly a new style for them.  Granted, it's not a wild change of pace, but this pop gem has none of the lo-fi haze that I've come to expect from the band, and that alone breathes new life into them.  I can't wait to hear the rest of Young And Old.
