Today's Quick Mention:  Later this month we'll be sponsoring a show with Elaine Greer, the Sour Notes and a slew of other great acts.  Check it out.  Then immediately make plans to go.

And now, some music.  Enjoy.

:Fair Ohs - Summer Lake:  Lefse Records has really been working it in 2011.  Seemingly every other week I get a neat little pop track from some act that's a new addition to their roster, and since it's always good, I really hope they keep it going all year.  Anyhow, this bit of catchiness from Fair Ohs is a fun number that likes to lodge itself in your head.  The band will put our their debut Everything Is Dancing on July 26.

:Yourself And The Air - Trampolines:  The first track I heard from these guys was a moody indie rock number called Sick Days.  Here, they've sort of thrown that particular sound out the window in exchange for something a little more upbeat and pop.  It works great for them as well.  Damn talented bastards!  The Who's Who In The Zoo EP is currently available on Lujo Records now, and the band will play the Mohawk on July 25.

:The Sundelles - Me And You:  Today's set of songs definitely leans towards the bouncy side of things, so if that ends up being too much then I highly recommend this calm and slightly breezy effort.  It's honestly just one more reason I really need to get my stuff together and seek out their new full length.  Georgia Swan is currently ready to be exchanged for cash.  Grab it on iTunes.

:Her Space Holiday - Black Cat Balloons:  For a while I've been reading that Marc Bianchi has been preparing to stop working as Her Space Holiday, but I didn't realize I was going to miss anything until this charming song arrived and reminded me how great HSH has been in the past.  Now, I'm a little sad.  Thanks, Marc.  The free EP can be had over at My Old Kentucky Blog, and Her Space Holiday will arrive August 16.

:Waters - For The One:  Here's an new act that features ex-Port O'Brien frontman Van Pierszalowski.  I was always a little so-so on his former band, but this sounds inspired and is rather fun to sing-a-long with.  So, do yourself a favor and crank the volume before you getting around to hitting play.  Out In The Light is expected everywhere on September 20 via TBD Records.
