In all of the scrambling that I've been doing in order to get caught up since I got back from vacation I sort of forgot that Stars released an EP at the beginning of the month.  Now, if I had to guess I would have said that the effort was certainly accepted with open arms by all who heard it, but based on my browsings it really doesn't seem that way at all.  In fact, just about every site that I visited yesterday had mostly negative remarks about Sad Robot.  I realize that it isn't the normal, glistening electro-pop that they've supplied ears throughout all these years, but it does feature them trying some different things - the most of which work rather well.  Anyhow, if you have a little extra cash in your pockets then I definitely recommend trying the Sad Robot EP out.  Enjoy.

:Stars - A Thread Cut With A Carving Knife:  The majority of Stars' material doesn't exactly make me conjure up the word epic, but with a slow building arrangement, segmented vocal introductions to Torquil and Amy and an almost six-minute runtime, this might be as close as they ever get.  And sure, like I mentioned in the introduction, it may not be as pretty and accessible as previous efforts, but if you calm down for a second, throw on some headphones and pay attention then you just might find something worth remembering.

I'm almost certain that I've shared the video for Your Ex-Lover Is Dead in the past, but in all honesty that's of no real concern to me since it's totally worth seeing forever.  Now get to watching!
