For the love of whoever this whole Aqua Teen Hunger Force, aka Aqua-Gate, thing that happened out in Boston is quite possibly the most retarded thing I have ever seen.  Boston was by far not the only city that had Lite Brite Mooninites placed all over them so I am more than a little confused as to why they were the only ones that decided to freak out.  Anyways, lets move on to something more important like the The Makes Nice from San Francisco.  The trio, who are about to release their debut album titled Candy Wrapper And Twelve Other Songs, is made up of Josh Smith, Jack Matthew, and Aaron Burnham.  I think their self described freakbeat sound is amazingly fun so check them out and be sure to keep your eyes open for any pesky Lite Brite Bombs.

:The Makes Nice - Candy Wrapper:  Try if you can to imagine what it would sound like if The Black Keys were a power trio that specialized in writing incredibly catchy songs and you will pretty much have an idea as to how frickin' amazing this song is  Don't surprised if this completely blows your mind and causes you to claim today as one of the best Fridays of your life.

:The Makes Nice - California Sun:  I think this song shows what the band means by freakbeat and all I have to say in response is that if the rest of the album is like this then I am very interested in hearing the entire thing.  I really like how the frantic drumming and the killer guitar riffs that make up the hectic, yet beach worthy, sound come together in a way that makes you want to get up and dance all over the place, which, is pretty cool for a project that started out as an instrumental R&B duo.
