Squid – Building 650

Squid announced a new album, Cowards (due out February 7), towards the end of last year, and now a second single has arrived. It’s got a sort of creeping, slinky feel to it that works well.

Yawners – 1 de enero

New year, new infectious rocker from Yawners. Hopefully they’ll be announcing an album soon.

Zzzahara – In Your Head

Just a reminder, Zzzahara will release their new album, Spiral Your Way Out, this Friday, January 10. I think it’s going to be a winner – all of the singles have been great (one even made my Top 50 Songs of 2024 list).

Spelling – Portrait Of My Heart

This is a pretty slick and dramatic avant-pop number from Spelling, who will be putting out a new album, Portrait Of My Heart, on March 28.

Youth Lagoon – Speed Freak

This is an almost dance-worthy effort from Youth Lagoon, which is weird and neat. Their new album, Rarely Do I Dream, is due out February 21.
