Quickdraw: Sumerlands, Iceage, Hunx & His Punx, The Beths, Hello Mary
Enjoy.
Sumerlands – Edge Of The Knife
“This is classic, melodic metal forged with the melodrama of the Scorpions, the emotional heft of Foreigner, with an extra dose of depression.”
The press release for the new Sumerlands’ album really has some wild, heavy-hitting sentences – I love it. Anyhow, have fun headbanging to this track from Dreamkiller, which is due out September 16.
Iceage – Shake The Feeling
Iceage have arranged a compilation called Shake The Feeling: Outtakes & Rarities 2015-2021, and it’s due out September 23. The title track here, which was cut from 2018’s Beyondless, is a sprawling effort.
Hunx & His Punx – White Lipstick
Hunx & His Punx just put this out as a part of the Sub Pop Singles Club. It’s catchy and – somehow, someway – their first official release since 2013.
The Beths – Knees Deep
The Beths just dropped this single and announced a US tour – for those in Austin, they’ll be at the Scoot Inn on March 10. By the way, Expert In A Dying Field will be released on September 16.
Hello Mary – Rabbit
Here’s Hello Mary with a super solid rocker. The press release for it didn’t note an album, but I assume one is on the way.
That is one eye averting video from Hunx and His Punx.
The Beths are always solid.
