Quickdraw: Rituals Of Mine, Nana Adjoa, Osees, Deftones, PUP
Enjoy.
Rituals Of Mine – Trauma
Just a reminder that Rituals Of Mine’s new album, Hype Nostalgia, is out this Friday. She’s a bit electronic, a bit hip hop, a bit R&B – it’s good stuff. After you check out this new track from her, you should jump on the previously released Free Throw.
Nana Adjoa – National Song
Nana Adjoa’s debut album, Big Dreaming Ants, arrives tomorrow, and I am more than ready for it. The singles, including this new one, have all been great. She’s a star.
Osees – Don’t Blow Your Experiment
With the endless name changes (Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees, OCS, The Oh Sees, Osees and OSE∃S) and the constant stream of new albums, I long ago stopped trying to keep up with this band. The wild art here though caught my eye, made me laugh and then led me to a pretty great instrumental number. Look for their remix album, Panther Rotate, when it gets released on December 11.
Deftones – Genesis
The Deftones will release their new album, Ohms, on Friday. The first two singles have me convinced that it’s going to be a real winner.
PUP – Rot
Here’s a fiery number from PUP, who just announced an EP called This Place Sucks Ass (due out October 23). It’s apparently comprised of b-sides that were “too frenetic or too unhinged” for 2019’s Morbid Stuff. Into it!
