Black Moth Super Rainbow – Open The Fucking Fantasy

Black Moth Super Rainbow have announced a new album, their first in seven years – it’s titled Soft New Magic Dream and is due out June 6. The press release says the LP is full of “freaky love songs” and I believe it based on this slinky single.

The Hard Quartet – Lies (Something You Can Do)

I just had The Hard Quartet on the brain the other day after I randomly remembered that they have a show coming up in Austin at the Scoot Inn on April 26. I suppose the sudden arrival of a new tune is nature’s way of saying I for sure have to be there for it.

Illuminati Hotties – 777

If you’ve been around these parts at all then you know that I’m all in on Illuminati Hotties. So yeah, here’s a brand new, nicely textured gem from them.

Car Seat Headrest – Gethsemane

You have to respect Car Seat Headrest for rolling out an 11-minute track (it’s actually 13 if you indulge in the short film below) as the first single off their new album, The Scholars, which is due out on May 2. I’m super curious to see what will come next.

Mei Semones – I Can Do What I Want

As a Mei Semones super fan, this has been a good week. A snazzy new single off their impending album, Animaru (due out May 2), has arrived alongside the announcement of a show in Austin – she’ll be playing the Parish on July 12.
