Quickdraw: Screaming Females, Bully, Who Is She?, Dry Cleaning, Rodrigo y Gabriela
Enjoy.
Screaming Females – Mourning Dove
Heads up, the hotly anticipated Screaming Females album, Desire Pathway, is out tomorrow, February 17. Here’s the previous single, and you’ll find a catchy new one just below. Also, if you’re in Austin, you should get your tickets now for their show at the Ballroom on April 3.
Bully – Lose You (Featuring Soccer Mommy)
Bully is back with a new single – it features Soccer Mommy and it’s pretty dang great. They’re going to be out on the road with the Pixies and Franz Ferdinand this summer, so plan to show up early if you’re hitting any of those shows.
Who Is She? – My My Orca Card
Who Is She? consists of Robin Edwards (Lisa Prank), Bree McKenna (Tacocat), and Julia Shapiro (Chastity Belt), and they just dropped this Seattle-based version of Le Tigr’s My My Metro Card. It’s clever, it’s catchy, it’s good.
Dry Cleaning – Swampy
Dry Cleaning have taken a demo and two unreleased tracks from their Stumpwork sessions + a pair of remixes, and they’ve assembled it all in the form of an EP, Swampy, that will be out on March 1. Now, here’s the artsiest song I’ve heard that references a PlayStation 5.
Rodrigo y Gabriela – Descending To Nowhere
Rodrigo y Gabriela’s new album is titled In Between Thoughts … A New World, and it’ll be out on April 21. They still sound great, but it’s probably more impressive that they also still sound interesting. By the way, they’re playing in Austin at ACL Live on May 19.
