Quickdraw: Maggie Rogers, CLAMM, Katie Bejsiuk, The Umbrellas, Danger Mouse & Black Thought
Enjoy.
Maggie Rogers – Want Want
Here’s another pop gem off Maggie Rogers’ highly anticipated new album, Surrender (due out July 29). Maggie, if you’re reading this, come play in Austin soon.
CLAMM – Monday
“Monday talks about the frustrations of working a job that you feel consumes your life and gives you little reward. It’s a dig at those in charge who seem to reap all the benefits without putting in the work.” – Maisie Everett of CLAMM.
Hard to get more relatable than that these days. Count me as excited to hear more off this punk act’s impending album, Care (due out August 19).
Katie Bejsiuk – Olive, NY
1) Kate Bejsiuk has a great voice. 2) I can very, very much relate to this track that she says “expresses my frustration with our process of trying to buy a house.” Her new album, The Woman On The Moon, will be out June 24.
The Umbrellas – Write It In The Sky
The Umbrellas have a new 7″, Write It In The Sky, that’s due out June 24. Expect to love this fuzzy slice of indie pop.
Danger Mouse & Black Thought – Because (Featuring Joey Bada$$, Russ, and Dylan Cartlidge)
The second single from Danger Mouse & Black Thoughts’ Cheat Codes is here but the album isn’t out until August 12. Guess there’s going to be a lot of advance tracks? Anyhow, I remain highly interested.
