Yuno – Somebody

Hey look, it’s the first emo anthem of 2021. I love it. This is a one-off single, but Yuno is currently working on a new album.

Ohtis – Schatze (Featuring Stef Chura)

Here’s the latest entry into Saddle Creek’s Document Series. It’s a super sharp number that’s built around a rad call and response between Ohtis and Stef Chura.

Pony – Couch

My wife thought that Pony was a new band featuring Colleen Green, and once hit you play on this track, you’ll see why. The band will release TV Baby on April 9.

NRCSSST – Sinking

I’m really loving all the side projects (last year it was Soft Palms) that are stemming from my super favs The Coathangers. The latest is called NRCSSST and it’s led by Stephanie Luke & Dan Dixon (PLS PLS and Dropsonic) and backed by Chandler Rentz (Snowden), Andre Griffin (PLS PLS) and Danny Silvestri (Trances Arc). This mod rock number is off the band’s self titled album (due out February 12).

Xiu Xiu – A Bottle Of Rum (Featuring Liz Harris)

Xiu Xiu have announced an album of duets called Oh No, and it’s going to be out on March 26. They’re often not particularly accessible, but this is a big pop tune that you should be able to get in on right away.
