Metz – A Boat To Drown In

A new Metz album titled Atlas Vending is set to be released on October 9! I always think of these guys as being super heavy, so I was a little surprised by this melodic, driving single. It’s good stuff.

Spice – I Don’t Wanna Die In New York

Here’s one I totally missed the boat on – Spice is a side project led by Ross Farrar and Jake Casarotti (both of Ceremony), and last Friday they put out their excellent self titled debut (and released this video). This is a must-listen for fans of Jawbreaker, Fugazi and the like!

Matt Berninger – Distant Axis

How are we still months away from the release of Matt Berninger’s solo debut? It was announced so long ago! Either way, this new tune is great. Serpentine Prison is due out October 2.

Sylvan Esso – Ferris Wheel

Sylvan Esso’s last release, 2017’s What Now, didn’t land for me, but maybe I’ll jump back onto the bandwagon via their next album, Free Love (due September 25). I definitely think this single is super fun.

Rituals Of Mine – Free Throw (Featuring Kris)

I didn’t have Rituals Of Mine’s upcoming album, Hype Nostalgia (due September 25), on my radar, but it’s there now because of this slick track.
