Throwback Thursday: The Raveonettes
Oddly enough, I actually decided on Monday that The Raveonettes would be the subject of this week’s Throwback Thursday. I’d like to say I knew there were about to surprise drop a new album and make my decision as relevant as possible, but I didn’t. I’ll just have to chalk it up to Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo doing me a solid. Anyways, let’s get on with going all the way back to 2003’s Chain Gang Of Love, an album that I listened to repeatedly when it first came out. For some reason at that time I was fascinated with how the LP was recorded in B flat major. I also was rather obsessed with That Great Love Sound, which I still think is one of The Raveonettes’ best songs. Other tracks on the album that I really love include Let’s Rave On, Chain Gang Of Love, and New York Was Great. Enjoy the flashback.
