NEVER TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL: PART 2
(POWERPUFF GIRLS AND JACK'S BIG MUSIC SHOW)

My inner child wants to pull the hair of today’s children out of sheer jealousy of the amount of musical goodage they get to experience on television these days. If the musical guests on TV shows these days proves anything, it’s that you’re never too cool for school.

Usually coming on after Dexter’s Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls helped to block one of the best hours of television a kid could want. I can actually remember watching this wonderful bit of musical goodness from the Apples in Stereo way past my bedtime, and I’m sure this bit of music was a tiny little seed that planted a part of my musical tastes today.

:Apples In Stereo - Signal In The Sky (Let's Go):

Gracing Jack’s Big Music Show and melting minds at a relatively young age is none other than the big music showman himself, Andrew Bird. There’s so much for me to love about this clip, I don’t even know where to start - kids are introduced to everything quintessentially Andrew Bird from his whimsical whistling to how he seems to magically pull instruments out of his coat jacket. However, before you get too excited, contrary to what’s advertised, saying, "string-string-a-ding-ding" will not make Andrew Bird magically appear. I tried. A lot.
