Later I'll be shifting out of the way in order to
let Leah present another monthly Hip Hop Hooray mix,
so I'm going to go ahead now and recommend that you
try to see
Waters
open for Nada Surf at La Zona Rosa tomorrow night.
They're a fantastic act.
While it greatly saddens me that there isn't an
Austin date on their upcoming tour, I am rather
thrilled about the return of Why?, who have long
been one of my favorite acts. On
August 14 they plan to put out the Sod In The
Seed EP via Anticon/City Slang, and then later
in the fall there will be a full length (it will get
a title eventually, I assume). Enjoy.

- Sod In The Seed:
This track immediately slapped a big smile on my face.
I prefer it when they lean more towards the experimental hip
hop side of things, and that's what Sod In The Seed
delivers. This, of course, isn't to say I don't like
their more traditional tunes, I just think Yoni Wolf is at
his best when he's setup to deliver a steady stream of
one-liners from his crazy brain.
