Today's Quick Mention:  Believe it or not, today is actually "The Midgetmen Day" here in Austin.  The band will be playing at City Hall around 5:30pm, and then tonight they'll be at Stubb's with the Calm Blue Sea and Boy + Kite.  Get out and celebrate them!

Laetitia Sadler may not a be a name you're immediately familiar with, but as long as you haven't been living under a rock, you should know both of the act's she has worked with - Stereolab and Monade.  Below you'll find the latest single from her upcoming sophomore effort, which is titled Silencio and is due out July 24 via Drag City.  Enjoy.

:Laetitia Sadler - There Is A Price To Pay For Freedom (And It Isn't Security):  The first thought I had when I gave this a listen was that I couldn't wait to own it on vinyl.  It's a beautifully constructed track, and I'm rather anxious to waste away while its on the turntable.  For now, headphones and this mp3 will just have to do.  On a side note, I wish there was an Austin date on her upcoming tour.
