Today's Quick Mention:  Do me a favor and head out to the Mohawk tonight for the Couch, the Sour Notes, and Summer Swells.  I get the feeling it's going to be a great show.  Plus, it's Tuesday, and what in the world could you possibly have going on?  Doors at 8pm.  Tix are $5.

I'll always consider Extraordinary Machine to be one of my favorite albums, and I'd be a liar if I said my love for it didn't pour over into everything else that comes from the brain of Fiona Apple.  With that being said, she sure is making it easy to get excited about her upcoming LP, as the new tracks so far have all been stellar.  Epic will put out her lengthily titled effort on June 26.  Enjoy.

:Fiona Apple - Werewolf:  If anything, you have to give it up to Fiona for always filling her songs with interesting tidbits.  In this tune the kicker comes when the sound of children cheering/playing/yelling suddenly slides in as the tune has about a minute left.  The effect is weird and kind of jarring, but it does such a good job of loosening up the mood that it ends up being a perfect addition.
