Time for your weekly notable news update!  Below you'll find a slew of sentences meant to provide a brief glimpse of what's been going on over the past week in movieland.  If something leaves you desperate for more info then my advice is to do a little extra research on one or all of the following fantastic sites:  Latino Review, Dark Horizons, Ain't It Cool News, CHUD and/or JoBlo.  Now, read on!

Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will reportedly return for Kick Ass 2: Balls To The Wall.  Nicolas Cage may also have some sort of cameo.

Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro may star in Grudge Match.  The movie is said to be a comedy about two boxers who decide to have one last fight.

Nicolas Winding Regn may direct an adaptation of Button Man: The Killing Game.  The graphic novel follows a man who decides to start killing the organizers of a secret gladiator-like tournament.

Rumor has it that the Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley) is a villain in Iron Man 3.  He will reportedly be more of a "in the shadows" sort of character, though, with Guy Pearce's Aldrich Killian being more of a direct threat.  Comic characters Coldblood (James Badge Dale) and Firepower (Ashley Hamilton) are also said to have roles as problems for Tony Stark.

Arnie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, and Garrett Hedlund are said to be up for the coveted role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Christina Applegate is set to return for Anchorman: The Legend Continues.

Will Forte recently said he doubts a sequel to MacGruber will ever be made.

One Shot, which stars Tom Cruise, is now titled Jack Reacher.

Joe Carnahan is set to direct Continue, which is about a soldier having to relive the same day over and over while trying to escape a group of assassins.

Jim Byrkit and Alex Manuglan (Rango) have been hired to pen a Fraggle Rock movie.

Anthony Hopkins is in talks to play the villain in RED 2.

Gary Oldman has landed a role in the reboot of Robocop.
