Today's Quick Mention:  If you don't have plans to sit around and revisit Nolan's Batman movies in anticipation of The Dark Knight Rises on Friday, I recommend spending your evening inside the Mohawk with She Sir, Shivery Shakes, and Dagars.  Tix are $5.

The Noisettes are back!  Once upon a time I really loved them, so news of their return puts a smile on my face.  Contact is the name of the band's new full length, and it will be their first release since 2009's Wild Young Hearts.  Check out two new tracks below (one is an mp3, the other a video), and then make a note to look out for the LP on August 27.  Enjoy.

:The Noisettes - That Girl:  While Shingai Shoniwa and Dan Smith are very capable of pulling out all the stops and rocking hard, I think they're at their best when they lean more towards the soul pop side of things.  Sure, every now and again you'll end up with a song like this that might be too cute, but there's always just enough charm and energy to win you over.
